   Curious as to how LOTR represents Kansas City - maybe some of the gloomier parts of the book.

   The books don’t necessarily represent Kansas City - some books are examples of books that Kansas Citians enjoyed reading.

   This is actually the parking garage for the library. The building itself is a much more traditional old stone pile. The story about the community bookshelf is totally accurate. great library.
