    I am officially registered!

    Now I shall comment…

Cute idea with the One Cold Hand…I think a “One Cold Foot” should be next, with lone socks. Although most socks look the same. My dad calls lone socks “orphans”…although I suppose they’re missing a sibling/spouse, not a parent?

I had a friend (now deceased) who had only one arm (and therefore, only one hand). To make up for this, his hand was the size of a catcher’s mitt.

He told me that he wished he knew someone who only had a left hand so that he could trade unused gloves.

Brilliant in its simplicity, kindness, and innocence. I’m officially in love.

I’ve always wanted to run a singles bar for Lost Socks. I’d called it Tootsies. You’d arrive with a sock and work your way through a decision tree (with possibly a drink at each table); plain/patterned, stripes/spots/pictures etc until you arrived at a table with socks of your sort.

BOO! I always keep the gloves, hats, scarves, and other cold weather gear I find frozen to the macadam in the parking lot. If people are going to be returning them to their rightful owners, I won’t be able to grow my collection. Boycott One Cold Hand!!!!!

Check out this site on lost and abandoned shoes from all over the states photographed by a young couple cruising the US in their motor home, even has them all mapped on google earth. Wait a minute, that guy is me :) :) :)
