I fully expected her to say "Photoshop!!" Ah, I have noromantic western ideas about elephants, they have been domesticated in the east for a veeerrrryyyy long time. And basically if you want your life to end abruptly and painfully , then abuse an elephant. They get treated better than I have been in several jobs. "It's rigged!"

It is an elephant farm in Chiang Mai, Thailand. About 80 elephants there, each with their own caretaker. Playing devil's advocate here, the elephants had been used for construction in the past, but now they do these shows. (far less cruel, I would think) The elephants are domesticated (well as domesticated as one can get). So releasing them back into the wild would not be a possibility. Didn't see any ill treatment of the animals. They not only played darts, but also played soccer, painted pictures (with a ripley's believe it or not award too for that) and interacted with the audience.
