As former Drum Major of the Mighty Sound of Maryland, I must say that none of this is nearly as cool as our Cartoon Tribute, in which I was fortunate to conduct our rendition of the Johnny Quest theme.

these recordings NEVER sound good. it would have been great to actually see the band perform because the recording quality never does any justice for the big band sound. i remember back in my high school marching band all the parents would rant and rave about how well we did, but when we went back and watched the tape, we were AWFUL.

@Geekazoid: this trend will retire when clothing goes out of style. chin up- in twenty years you'll be saying "remember when EVERYBODY AND THEIR MOM covered the old-school video game theme songs in every medium available? those were the days..."

Oh my goodness. I feel like a dork because 1. It made me miss marching band so much and 2. I knew every single song in that medley and played every single one of those games. lol

The only reason I recognized Mortal Kombat was because I had to play it every Friday night when I was in marching band! This was so fun to watch, and I bet if my high school band had done that, people would have paid more attention

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the line-up was Pong, Tetris, Mortal Kombat (the Mortal Kombat Dragon is opposite of the viewer, look upside down to see), Zelda, and the last four are from Super Mario--the first being from the first underground stage in the first Super Mario, the second from Super Mario World, the third from the underwater stage from the first Super Mario, and last, the stage finish theme from the first Super Mario.

Cheers.

I got: Pong, Tetris, ???, Pokemon, Zelda, Mario, Kirby, ??? and Mario again. It's a shame the video was upside down though.
And Anthony, I'd like to see you try to play an instrument well, while marching around a field, trying to get into the correct shapes (which you can't see by the way), with thousands of people watching you.
