Clearly “the parasite is, in fact,” NOT ” acting like a placenta”… last time I checked, MEN don’t get placentas but they still get plenty of parasites.

Exactly, Johnald.

Kinda silly to suggest that the placenta “acts like a parasite,” when surely the parasite is, in fact, acting like a placenta. There’s no reason we would evolve “software support” for a parasite (in fact, plenty of reasons not to), but clearly placentas are, you know, important. Biologically. What with reproduction and all. Just sayin’.

interesting, this could pave the way for the end of immune surpressants for transplant recipients.

Just hope you don’t need a transplant then get nematode worms.

As the cure for the worms would flucsh the transplant too.
