    LOL. Hey, how about just treading on the ground and talking a walk. Much easier.

    lower impact exercise? walking further than you would otherwise? having handles to keep you up while you walk?

    if it lets you walk but get there faster, it could be a nice compromise between riding and walking…

    plus it looks neato.

    Mystery Science Theater 3000 did this gag in like 1996. Except they took it one further, and also showed off a “rowing machine you can use to actually cross a lake!”

    I do that too, except without the treadmill.

    Something similar could be good for people who have limited muscle strength if it magnified their motions, allowing them to take walks and actually get somewhere.
