Deep Fried Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich

America is a nation that likes difficult challenges. Like how to put a man on the moon, or how to make peanut butter and jelly sandwich bad, and I mean really bad for your health:

For years the fatty fanfare heated up around the latest innovation in deep-fried offerings. Each fair brought a new brand-name morsel to be batter-dunked and boiled: Milky Way, then Twinkies, then Coke.

This year, the Mensas of munchables have gone back to basics: Deep-fried peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

so weird. last night i had a dream about a deep fried PB&J. then today...BAM! there it is on neatorama. what are the chances? ah who cares. it doesn't sound very good....or does it sound like the best thing i've ever eaten in my life? the difference is just a puff away. (but i don't do that anymore...teehee)

I think I'd give it a try - I was skeptical about the deep-fried oreos and peanut butter cups at the local state fair last weekend and they turned out to be distressingly delicious ... maybe split it into 4s and share it with 3 friends, and then promise to eat only spinach and bran muffins for the rest of the month?

    It'd be worth it, I bet ...

Something that's probably just as bad but easier to make is a grilled PB&J; warm & melty PB&J on the inside, crispy buttery bread on the outside... Mmmmm!

Now if there was some magical cure for a peanut allergy...
