The Superest is a fairly new site by illustrators Kevin Cornell and Matthew Sutter, with occasional guests. The site is an ongoing game of My Team, Your Team. The rules:

Player 1 draws a character with a power. Player 2 then draws a character whose power cancels the power of that previous character. Repeat.

This results in some very, um, different superheroes. Like Albinis the eyeless albino tortoise, The Chlorinatrix, and Hot Shave Carl the Barber. The current leader is Brocco-Lee, but that won’t last long. Link -via Metafilter

Oh, that's good. I'll have to torture my upper level art students with that one. Mwahahaha!

I actually do that (nothing as brilliant as their drawings) with my 'mates during dull classes. ; )

Giant man-eating bunnies, singing forks, etc. Heh.

I Played this for a semester with an annonymous person in a color theory class who used the same table as me but on another day. The game started spontaneously, responding to each others doodles and ended when we ran out of table space

Some characters were lost to spilled paint or covered/modified by other bored students but most are still on the table 2 years later

Excellent! And it goes so well with our recent Bruce Lee post, too!

Itching to do this in college...though it will probably get out of hand :D We can always tell our teachers that it's character design, therefore could be classified as college work!
