NPR's Fresh Air had a review of The Roots of Chicha yesterday - you can listen to it here. The selections on the Roots of Chicha anthology are a mix of Colombian cumbias and 60s psychedelic guitar. I enjoyed the segment so much that I had to buy the album - my first purchase ever from Amazon.com's DRM-free .mp3 download service. 17 tracks for $8.99 and no worries about iTunes' DRM-Authorization. Good stuff cheap!

How much does the album cost at emusic?
Yes, this is Peruvian talent but cumbias originated in Colombia. That's what I meant.
