Psychedelic cumbias

NPR's Fresh Air had a review of The Roots of Chicha yesterday - you can listen to it here. The selections on the Roots of Chicha anthology are a mix of Colombian cumbias and 60s psychedelic guitar. I enjoyed the segment so much that I had to buy the album - my first purchase ever from Amazon.com's DRM-free .mp3 download service. 17 tracks for $8.99 and no worries about iTunes' DRM-Authorization. Good stuff cheap!

Nice recommendation - I just wanted to point out that it's also available on emusic.com, which had been doing the DRM-free stuff for ages before Amazon joined in:

Sorry to tell you, but this music got nothing to do with colombian cumbias. This is pure peruvian 'talent' and as long as i know maybe it is shared with bolivia, but not with Ecuador or Colombia
