    Well, this won’t happen in my old and cheap washer, since you can just snap open the top and look inside at the clothes (and cat if she happened to jump in)churning in the wash!

    if you have a kitten and you don’t check your washing in the machine to see if the kitten’s there - you are retarded.

    Naw, Johnald. Shorten it a bit.

    “if you have a kitten … you are retarded.”

    Remember kids, kittens become cats!

    LOL

    @Chaffinch
    Your equally retarded if you think that every washing machine is designed so you’d be able to see a kitten in the middle of a load of laundry…

    People who can’t take care of animals, should not have them.

    “if you are Izzy_Evil, you are retarded” there, that edit works perfectly.

    ^ Donnie nails it.

    How could you be so negligent to start up a washer with a cat in it? Maybe they should have been charged with neglect or animal cruelty.

    put that stupid owner in the wash and then blog about it… its really just down to stupidity that something like this happens, seriously, when that kid is sick i’ll flush her down the toilet

    animals have rights, and we should enforce them too

    First of all, Ari, Animals have all the rights they can forcefully assert, just like humans do.

    Secondly, is this even newsworthy? I’ve had a kitten in the dryer before, she was completely fine, and it never even occurred to me to call the local media.

    I agree with James– one of our kittens somehow thought it was a great idea to sleep in our dryer, and ended up staying in there for 20 min. Accidents happen; and to be fair to our housekeeper, they do sound like a pair of tennis shoes…

    (the kitten was fine btw… lived another 10 years)

    Kitten in the dryer is FAR different than a kitten in a washer - soap, anyone? This kitten was lucky to live.

    As many wise people have said: “crap happens”. The fact that the girl in question tried to get it out as soon as possible tells me she shouldn’t be charged. Silly kitty probably learned it’s lesson. It’s gonna stay away now.
