Mr. Liu Yong, a Chinese who was educated in Germany, makes a comparison between German culture and Chinese culture, illustrated in international symbol-style graphics. This graphic compares “queues”. See the whole thing at Adino Online. Link -via Reddit

It would be helpful if you could post the associated discussion when posting links from high-traffic sites like digg or reddit. If the website was down, at least we'd have an easy place to look for a mirror.

Reminds me of an animation Bruno Bozzetto did comparing Italians to Europeans:

Heh, I mixed up the two pictures because the title said Chinese vs German culture so I thought the Chinese line was on the left and the German line on the right.

Incidentally, I was talking to someone who spent a lot of time in Eastern Europe during the communist days and he mentioned this. In the West people would make orderly lines, but in East Europe lines would get all clumped like the picture on the right. Maybe it has something to do with shortages and rationing...

Or maybe it's just a coincidence.

Very nice comparison, fits like a glove! I'm German and have been travelling China twice.
