I’ve just finished reading the book, “The Zen of Fish” and learned that the octopus also has a separate brain in each tentacle coordinated by one centralized brain in his head.

It might also interest your readers to know that the esophagus of a cephalopod passes through the center of the animal's brain on its way to the gut. Good thing they have those beaks to take small, bite-sized chunks out of their meals!
