Rude World Signs

Posted by Alex in Travel & Places on October 6, 2007 at 1:49 am

Rude World is a website dedicated to finding signs of places and streets around the world with unintentionally funny names.

The one shown to the left is from Sai Kung, east of Hong Kong’s Kowloon Peninsula. Don’t miss: Bastardo, Italy, Bumpass Hell, California, and of course Titty Ho, UK (No, I’m not making these up).

Lots more where that one came from: Link - Thanks Becky :)

Shouldn’t it be “Bay view street” if properly translated?

Here in Marietta, Ga, we used to have a bridge sign that read: “Dick Hunter Memorial Bridge.” That sign was always stolen within a couple of days of being put up again. The city finaly wised up and changed it to “Richard Hunter Memorial Bridge.” I wish I had a picture to contribute.

I was on Lantau Island a few years ago and saw a sign for “Fat Ho Secondary School” - if only my camera hadn’t been out of batteries!
