Beat me in the head with a shovel

By Adam Stanhope in Science & Tech, Video Clips on Oct 4, 2007 at 11:40 am

Britain’s SkyNews investigates a new material called D3O by repeatedly hitting a guy in the head and knee with a shovel. You’d think they could have scraped up a less ridiculous hat. YouTube.

They should have done a bit better demonstration and actually let us see the stuff on the guy. By keeping it under the clothes and the hat, it is very possible for it to only be regular armor of some sort. Such as a helmet or some very strong knee pads.

Did you notice that the newsman didn't hesitate one second before whacking him on the head...that's hilarious!

I wanted to see the blooper reel of this, when he misses by an inch.

The hat one was almost unbelievable - would have been better if we saw it getting put together first.

I love the way he eagerly winds up for a harder whack. It's like John Turturo hitting Adam Sandler in "Mr. Deeds".
