NYC artist Lorraine Shemesh is one of my favorite contemporary artists. She’s best known for her large paintings of swimming pools and swimmers. Figurative and abstract at the same time, the textures, colors and patterns are beautiful.

Yes Alison! If people bother to click on and look at the rest of the work they'll be amazed. Her work sells for 6 figures now, due to this brilliant pool series. I was disappointed that no-one had commented. Thanks for chiming in. As I said to Alex as I joined Neatorama - my posts will tend to be about art. By all means suggest any other artist who warrants a look at.
