I don't know if you sell any kind of shirts to the public, but I would love one! I've seen soccer teams with the logo, probally sponsored by Bimbo. If you sell to the public please please let me know. 830-714-7277.

At one time, the Bimbo Bear logo had a "stiffy." Find it here: http://www.bad-candy.com/candies/rebanadas/page2.html

I (partially) grew up in southeast Mexico (near Tulum). "Bimbo" still means "company that makes awesome-tasting bread" to me (as opposed to any other meaning).

Bimbo is named after the stuffed teddy bear owned by the founder's wife.
Their products are, in general and putting it kindly, sub-par.

When I first saw "Bimbo" signs, I laughed my *ss off. They lose a little of their humor when you find out it's pronounced "beam-bo".

Other funny Mexican names:

"Fud"--a brand of lunch meats. (Pronounced "food".)

"Kike's"--a supermarket chain. (Pronounced "key-kays".)

The legends says that the BIMBO founder was a huge fan of Bambi, so he decided to name his "little" bread bussines (at that time) with a similar name... or something like that. and the bread is just good!

In southamerica BIMBO has another name, i guess is Pan Ideal, because BIMBO is the slang for whor* or d*ck... in this region.

Saw one of these just three days ago in Providence RI.

I've seen some of the Bimbo products in local Hispanic grocery stores.

(Think Hostess/Little Debbie/Dolly Madison snack cake type stuff)

I live here in Mexico at the moment, and my favourite is seeing all the people walking around with BIMBO written in huge letters on the front of their football jersey - they support some soccer teams here.

I lived in Spain for a couple of years and LOVED seeing the Bimbo bread trucks. It was our running joke everytime we saw one of these trucks or a loaf in the store. The bread itself was pretty terrible (think Wonder bread) but had a great name.
