Sorry I’m late to this party. It’s common to call them Legos in the USA. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.

I’d just stick with ‘Lego’. :p

BTW, Legos is a brand of pasta sauce. Now *that* I’d like to see.

Actually it’s technically “LEGO bricks,” not just Lego OR Legos. Apparently the company considers it trademark dilution to refer to them otherwise (The Wikipedia entry notes that the following notice used to be in their catalogs: “The word LEGOÂ® is a brand name and is very special to all of us in the LEGO Group Companies. We would sincerely like your help in keeping it special. Please always refer to our bricks as ‘LEGO Bricks or Toys’ and not ‘LEGOS.’ ). If you’re gonna take the time to be nitpicky, at least be accurate about it

As to those videos, they’re both such fun! I think of them every time I pass by a treadmill display in a store or what-not – it’s so hard to resist the urge to try re-enacting a live version …
