Wig Contest Helps Blogger Through Chemotherapy

When Neatorama reader Jen Singer of MommaSaid.net got diagnosed with non-Hodkin’s lymphoma, her doctor said that she’d lose her hair during chemotherapy. So she created Wacky Wig contest:

Throughout my chemotherapy treatments, friends and family sent all sorts of wigs to my house, leaving me to clean up a whole lot of hairs that aren’t even mine. My sons, Chris, 8, and Nicholas, 10, had fun trying them all on. And I did, too, when my entire family came to my house to photograph me in each wig. The event, set to music by my brother, Scott, was just the wacky event we needed after a summer of hospitals, PET scans, blood tests and chemo brain. (What was I saying? Oh yeah…).

Now I’m sharing the wigs with you. Check out the wide array of wacky wigs below and vote for your favorite. You can vote for just one at a time, but you can vote every day, so drop by often — and tell your friends. But hurry! Contest ends September 17th — the day of my last chemotherapy treatment.
