When I found out in June that I have non Hodgkin's lymphoma, my oncologist warned me that I'd mourn the loss of my hair as so many young people -- especially women -- do when they undergo chemotherapy. But I saw it as an opportunity to laugh in the face of cancer. After my husband, Pete, shaved my hair Fourth of July weekend (first, in a Mohawk, of course), I created the Wacky Wig Contest, a chance for the folks nearest and dearest to me to embrace the toughest time in my life -- and make me look absolutely ridiculous. A wig a day keeps the doctor away. Throughout my chemotherapy treatments, friends and family sent all sorts of wigs to my house, leaving me to clean up a whole lot of hairs that aren't even mine. Now I'm sharing the wigs with you. Check out the wide array of wacky wigs below and vote for your favorite.
