Map of Strange.

Cleveland

The story goes that in ‘78, Mark Gubin was having lunch with his assistant, who remarked upon all the low-flying planes – saying how nice it would be to make a sign welcoming everyone to Milwaukee. Apparently Gubin simply said, “You know what would be even better…?”

This is just one of the many strange points of interest you’ll find at Map of Strange, a website dedicated to to strange things in Google Maps. Link -via the Presurfer

The weird thing about this post is this:
I was pouring over the satellite images of Milwaukee TWO DAYS AGO when I noticed "Welcome to Cleveland" on that rooftop. Coincidence?

Very strange, Jason, since I didn't get this example from anyone. It was the first item I looked at on the site and thought it funny enough to use!

Oh, wow. I'd completely forgotten about that building. Will have to remember to look for it next time I'm going on a trip (or coming home).
