And there are differences between out-of-body experiences and near-death experiences. The former can be induced by meditation, for example. And the latter often involves spiritual visions. The mechanism for what causes those wasn't even explored here. The experiment looked more like it was exploring proprioception or kinesthesia than true out-of-body experiences. I’d say there are still a lot more questions than answers. And there are differences between out-of-body experiences and near-death experiences. The former can be induced by meditation, for example.
