    i don’t mind the idea of dunking a banal object into tar, but this guy’s web site… i mean, i sometimes like process work like this, but this is an effing art gimmick with this fellow. “what else can i dunk in tar?!?!” (also, look at the picture of himself on the site too. give me a break). anyways… yes, i enojy the look of the bear. i also enjoyed Kathyrn Spence’s sad, droopy mud bears from back around 2000 too, or Roxy Paine’s dunked-over-and-over again paintings. but i think his guy’s 15 minutes are up.

    I’m afraid I’ve got to agree with matt. This guy is a rebel without a cause, not to mention an artist without expression or (at the very least) articulacy.
