The duct tape worked for me, it took about 3 weeks and was painless except for people asking "What have you got tape round your finger for?" !!

I had a nasty planter's wart on my foot, and actually took care of it with a combination of ducttape and salicylic acid pads designed to take care of warts.

I can't speak for anyone else, but it really did work for me. it fell right off, and it was a relief to be able to walk again.

When I was a kid, my mom got rid of a wart I had by rubbing a potato on it and then burying it ... erm, yes, I realize that at best there was some sort of placebo effect going but what the hey, it did actually work whereas things like Compound-W had done nothing! The mind is a very strange thing ...

I was a medical asst. for a podiatrist and we treated many people with plantars warts. The reason why duct tape works is that it causes irritation in the wart area and sends a signal to your immune system to attack that tissue in the area of irritation. I'm no expert or a doctor, but I witnessed the most success with a perscription salicylic acid compound. Cyrosurgery is painful, and in rare cases we would treat the wart with laser removal, only after other options failed to render results.

If anyone is looking to treat a wart, the best thing is to consult a doctor, and not go by what you read on the internet. Not all warts are alike, and you could be risking making things worse.

Worked for me! Kept a piece of tape on a large one on my foot and every little wart on my body eventually disappeared.
