I visited my friend at work once and he was folding shirts exactly like this! And I exclaimed “You’re folding it just like the video!” But it’s just been standard in his house to fold shirts like that (he’s Japanese).

I’ve had this video for years. I’ve tried over and over to learn how to fold my shirts like this, but never got it right… all I’ve accomplished is to make them more wrinkled than before!

I also tried it several times; doesn’t work for me… Help appreciated.

One should be calm when folding,
One should be in touch with one’s inner self when folding,
One should be strong yet gentle in folding,
    Be one with the folding…

This is actually a cool trick, but (unless you have years of practice) T-shirts tend to come off easily when you go through the pile. Plus it’s seriously tricky to learn.
But it sure is very efficient for showing off you mad housekeeping skillz, when trying to impress a girlfriend-to-be ;)

I you still want quick- and clean-folded T-shirts without learning some crazy Japanese technique, you might want to consider this :

I just saw this and took out two shirts, one xl and one 3T.. tried it once and folded both perfectly

I don’t know how people think its tricky.. but then again I’m asian so maybe it only works for us yellow people

very Old Trick, but a good one to show your friends if they havent seen it yet

Indeed, not hard to do at all. (not asian)
And looks like magic when done fast enough
