captainfroosh, yeah it's such a shame nutritious items like crayons and breath mints are being wasted. I'm crying thinking of all the starving kids who could have been sustained by that wasted deodorant.

The nuked eggs video is so cool.

True story; when in high school I worked as a cook at a restaurant that had the cook's stations behind the customer counter, with a number of tables around that. On a busy Sunday morning, the guy in the other station got an order for a soft-boiled egg. Not knowing how to make it & not wanting to take the time to look it up, he stuck a whole egg in a shallow bowl of water & put it in the microwave. 30 seconds later BOOOOMMMM!!!! goes the egg, blowing the door open & egg everywhere. The buzz of conversation had been replaced with silence, except for the banging of the door as it bounced back & forth a couple of times. Everyone in the place is looking toward the cooks, but the other guy had ducked behind the station, leaving me to look the fool.

The first & only time I got a standing ovation.

so, captainfroosh; would that starving child be any better off if these items hadn't been nuked? I didn't think so.

The egg one is particularly interesting.

My daughter microwaved an egg once and it sounded like an M-80 going off in the kitchen when it exploded.

This makes me ponder the question: what happens when you put a microwave in the microwave?
