Getting to school the hard way.

Children of the Nujiang Great Canyon in China must cross a river to get to school, but there is no bridge. Instead, they harness themselves to a loop and cross on a rope suspended between trees on either side! Link

Shopped
wondered how they get back home
And it's uphill both ways! With snow above my head in the winter...
And if a girls falls into the river, it just provides an opportunity for the family to try for a boy in "one-child" Red China.
Dude, that'd be kick ass.
I can just imagine the stories they'll be telling their grandchildren about the walk to school.
You know, uphill both ways *is* technically possible. See if you can figure it out.
