Cartoonist Aaron Diaz of Dresden Codak drew this brilliant physics cartoon above.

If you didn’t get that, check out Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle [wiki] | Philipp Lenard [wiki]. Previously on Neatorama: The Unpredictable Life of Werner Heisenberg

Wow, that is pretty geeky! Not only does it require the reader to understand a little bit about Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle, but they have to know who Phillipp Lenard was and also what “Weißer Jude” means and why Heisenberg would be called that (especially since he wasn’t Jewish). It would do well in a gatheirng of historically minded physicists who know a little German. Yow. This guy isn’t looking to replace Dilbert in the Sunday Funnies anytime soon, I hope.

    Straight talk from Sid.

I admit it’s a little “niche” for general audience, but most people still get the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle reference though they may not get the Lenard and White Jew reference.

Uh…sorry, I get the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, but why would he be called a, um, White Jew again?
