You’d have to wear a glove to make sure it didn’t slip off. Or glue it on. Might be a good idea if you could wear it like a ring, but that doesn’t look practical.

It looks more like a concept than an actual product. This is something I would buy. And you could wear it wherever on your finger, it does not have to be on the tip, like on the illustration.
You could also include a flexible OLED display on it, wear it all day and it doubles as a ring-watch!

in boarding school we had this legend (urban or not) : while somebody is sleeping, dunk his pinkie finger in a glass of water and he’s going to pee in his bed, and that’s as good as an alarm clock 
We never tried it. My life seems so empty now.
