The Cars.com website has a post about the “Top 10 Most Memorable Movie Cars”. Seen above is the 1968 Ford Mustang GT 390 from “Bullitt” – number 5 on the list. Can you guess the number 1?

Why isn’t the car from Knight Rider on this???

I’m guessing because that was a TV show, and this is limited to movies.

There is also a Knight Rider movie out, but it’s probably a bit too new to be on a “most memorable” list.

    But what about Herbie?

Yeah Herbie was more memorable than Wayne & Garth’s Pacer.

Agreed, Wayne’s World Pacer was a spot filler.

Not even one Batmobile made the list?!

These photos brought back so many memories – We are lucky you posted this here – we did not see this initially on digg even though it got 1000 diggs.

As you can tell we are car lovers!

And what about Professor Fate’s (Jack Lemmon) car from The Great Race? Only one of the best automobiles ever…

    What about “Christine”?

True about both Chitty Chitty Bang Bang & Christine.

I don’t know if the FlÃ¥klypa Grand Prix movie is known at all outside of Scandinavia? But if this would have been a Swedish list, the “Il Tempo Gigante” car from that movie should have a well deserved spot in the list.

And how about the Batmobile? On the other hand, maybe it’s been featured in too many different versions to be a “memorable movie car”?
