Spy Squirrels Caught by the Iranians. Yes, Spy Squirrels.

Can’t make this up, folks:

Iranian intelligence operatives recently detained over a dozen squirrels found within the nation’s borders, claiming the rodents were serving as spies for Western powers determined to undermine the Islamic Republic.

"In recent weeks, intelligence operatives have arrested 14 squirrels within Iran’s borders," state-sponsored news agency IRNA reported. "The squirrels were carrying spy gear of foreign agencies, and were stopped before they could act, thanks to the alertness of our intelligence services."

I suspect the British are responsible.

First it was killer dolphins, then killer badgers, and now spy squirrels. I suppose it wouldn’t be too long until there are kamikaze pigeons and ants that can kidnap people…

My in-laws sent us a package that had crumpled newspapers for cushioning. Naturally, I had to read them. An article that caught my eye announced that the Taylorsville, CA drinking water was again safe, after a decomposing squirrel was removed from the reservoir (or maybe the treatment facility).

I had to write back to them that this was clearly a terrorist-trained suicide squirrel, sent to poison American municipal water supplies.

So, it’s good to know that two sides are playing this game.

    Oh! I forgot!

If you want to read more about animals used for secret weapons, do a search for “Project X-Ray”.

If only we had a way to catapult a spy squirrel into Iranian territory.
