American Green TV

By Alex in Everything Else on Jul 11, 2007 at 1:53 am

Steve White’s new website AmericanGreen.tv aims to aggregate user-created short video clips about "green living."

So far, in just the one clip on the homepage, I’ve learned about how much coal it takes to power a regular incandescent bulb versus one of those new fangled fluorescent ones.

Looking forward to more clips: LinkThanks Steve!

I can’t believe people, including these green buffs don’t get it. These compact fluorescents contain mercury in them, that’s going to be lovely in land fills. LEDs are more efficient, more of a natural light (helps Seasonal Affective Disorder, and are less harmful.

    “Meathead” hillarious.

JC, agreed on the drawbacks to CFLs, LED have tremendous promise once price is there. Right now LED is prohibitively expensive for the majority of people. I hope that changes. The point of AmericanGreen.tv by the way is to help people “get it” including the producers and staff. So please join in and share your thoughts. I think the majority of “green buffs” are actually trying to point their choices in a better direction. Like most net debates, this one will become heated but hopefully lead to better practices and better information.
