That's beside the point that it's been shown that environmental toxins concentrates in pickerel as well because of its position as a dominant predatory fish in most lakes where it lives. So the health aspect is questionable as well. If you want to try a truly excellent fish then something like the Arctic Char would be a much better choice, it's unbeatable. If you smoke it there's just nothing in terms of fish that can beat it. Not only am I first to comment, but I was actually in Gimli from June 23 to 27, visiting an old friend. Gimli has a wonderful beach, and is a fishing village.
