The fact that cartoons can cuss on television now is so funny, well not really. But compared to what was not allowed on cartoons back then and whats allowed now, its so obsered.

With Monty Python, they did much worse things. They had to first gay kiss on television (match of the day), Terry Gilliam animated naked women, but the BBC were okay with that. The Pythons believed that the BBC had sicker minds than they did. In one episode, John Cleese stuck a severed leg through the door and the BBC thought it was a penis!!!

There are a ton of things left out here. One of which is Lucy's and Ricky's bed (among other show's spouces beds at the time) never being shown pushed together. And if they were, at least one person's foot had to be on the floor if they were laying next to eachother.

ummm, with that southpark thing, and it showing mahummad, not a big deal. in the Super best friends episode where all the religous people/gods etc, muhummad is there along with jesus, aquaman (who they called sea man ), and others. This was a full year or two before that hole don't show muhummad thingy.

I have to add here that somewhere out there is the never-aired version of "A Tale of Two Kitties" in which the cat is giving the camera the bird while addressing the Hays Office! I saw it once on a show about censorship. The Warner crowd made many unaired versions of cartoons of that nature for their own amusement.

Another worth mentioning is that the bathroom shared by the kids on The Brady Bunch didn't have a toilet.
