From north Afrika, apparently. And before that out of Noah’s ark, along with all the rest. I didn’t know how much I loved cats until now that I have one. Of coure they are from heaven. At least mine is. She is so sweet.

I have a cat just like the one on this web site.If I did’nt know better I’d say that it’s her(CLARICE) but I know it’s not.Cats lineage goes way beyond 150,000,I don’t know when the first was domesticated,but it was a good thing.I’d much rather have a cat then a dog any time.

To understand the domestication process (which had a huge impact on the evolution of todays house cats) read ‘Tribe of the Tiger’. Great book on the nature of cats.
