Battery Adapter.

   This adapter costs $1.50 in quarters.
   You could do the same thing for 8 cents in pennies...

   It takes 2 bucks worth of quarters to shim it to fit 'c' cells. The 'd' cell batteries are probably cheaper. I know, it's for emergencies

   $1.50 and $2.00, can anybody count? There are 7 quarters there... $1.75

   Now if we could just figure it out the other way around - I'm always out of C cells and can never find the rechargeable Cs at the store.

   But you always have enough to buy a proper D cell once the C cell runs out...
