Anti-Jesus Car.

The Anti-Jesus Car, spotted in Houston Texas. Complete with detailed pics of the various ... um, adornments and bumper stickers. And check out that Yahoo! late 90's color scheme! http://www.clemsontalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=25871

the car isn't anti jesus so much as it's pro evolution and anti-evangelists that run around texas yelling about how women are inferior because the bible says so among other things I want yelled at me on my way to work.

As a Houstonian, I can speak accurately when I say that it's an Art Car.
Every year we have an Art Car at the beginning of the summer and people decorate their cars in all sorts of crazy ways, have a parade of it, and then drive the cars around the city for the rest of the year.
The man may have something against Jesus, or he may be poking fun at the bible beater part of Texas culture. Lighten up.

Driving an anti-Mo car in Texas wouldn't take any stones at all. Be like driving an anti-jebus car in Iraq. I really like the jebus and banana theme on top. LOL This car has my 2 walking darwin fish put to shame.
Saying passé is really passé.

I did think of it as just a crazy person's reactionary rant against wacky creationists, but just imagine the uproar if the car was covered with anti-any_other_religion. The owner would be prosecuted.

But, since it's only bashing Jesus, it's chic and fun...?

Literally one of the first things I noticed about Houston driving from the airport after moving there was the multitude of cars like this. Just chalked it up to a cultural thing I didn't understand being from way up north. I used to bust out my camera phone at such sights but it's so old hat now. The craziest ones always come out at Christmas. Never seen this one before though.

Another Houstonian chiming in here...

I didn't look too closely at this car, but I've seen it both in the Art Car parade and around town. What I do know is that there are many many more art cars that put this one to shame. This link has a good number of examples:

Bashing Jesus? I think it's bashing Christians. I don't think it's first intention was to seek attention, but was probably something a little more cathartic. God knows how annoying Christians can be. Curb your children, creator of the universe.

First of all, Ross F.? We're not all like that. Sweeping generalizations are so yesterday.

Second, I noticed right away the "Houston, TX" part of it because my husband and I saw a Santa Claus car in Houston in 2005. It was a bright red Geo Metro that was covered with Christmas ornaments. There was an enormous fiberglass Santa hat on top of the car, and the fellow who was driving the car looked quite a bit like St. Nick.
