    Eh.. Yeah.. Unless you did something wrong.. Its mathematically impossible to reach the squares he takes off.

    Indeed, it has nothing whatsoever to do with psychology and everything to do with math. So called illusionists use tricks like these all the time, simple (but often long-winded) mathematical “tricks” to make the utterly logical seem magical.

    I ended up on the wavy lines. He may have counted too fast for me though.

    didn’t work for me and m,y computer took long to download it so it wasn’t too fast for e.

    If you drag your mouse through the video, there is a frame that shows up with the smiley face alone. The frame goes by too quickly for our minds to register it appeared, but it recognizes it and might even influence ourselves to unconsciously select it. It’s based on a psychology experiment previously done, but I can’t recall exactly how it went.
