Although one thing they got right is that they completely forgot about Canada (but not Mexico!). Basically like any U.S. map available

Heh. A little out of date, now, I imagine. I doubt you could get three Japanese guys in a bar that wouldn’t include Dice-K-chusetts in all its red-knit footwear glory.

Funny, but just consider what a map of Japan drawn by the average American would look like? A lot less accurate, and nowhere near as funny. Who’s laughing at who here?
