I live in tiny seaside town in Wales, and I have just finished two lampost cozies. I think it'd be hilarious if the residents here woke up and found half the lamposts in town covered in bright, knitted awesomeness!
That is my aim!
I'm hoping to get some others in on it though, even if they're not particulaly knitty people. They can still stick them up!

I live in Houston, where Knitta is located and the art actually holds up really well. They're usually left up for a long time, especially if it's on door handles and stuff.

The previous commenters are kind of pessimistic. I'm just going to say it looks really cool. And leave it at that.

Those zany Swedes! Wow, knitting is times-consuming! It must be nice to have that kind of time to screw around, huh?

I guess stuff like this is what people do in a socialized society where they are taxed like mad for earning money and the government takes care of all their "needs". The good side is that the "grafitti" is easy to remove and pitch when it gets nasty. Wacky stuff (and neat!)
