Are they priming shows like this in cinemas in the US? Didn’t know that.

This was aired at Star Wars Celebration IV last Saturday, during the Family Guy panel with Seth MacFarlane and Co… the only cool part of the whole event(okay, the Robot Chicken panels were rad, too).

Family Guy staff hasn’t mastered a parody yet. All they did was recast the characters and put other pop culture references in those recreated scenes. I’m watching Robot Chicken instead.

I disagree, Haddy. That was great stuff. Searing observations the whole way through. Great delivery. Perfect!

    Searing observations?
    Come on.

I enjoy watching Family Guy, but let’s not exaggerate what they do.

Most of their “parodies” are simply scenes lifted from recognizable plays, movies, or tv shows, with little or no change in dialogue.

When they do hit on something unique and original, they tend to beat it to death.

Though it is pretty good for a writing staff of manatees with a tank of idea balls.
