    I don’t understand :

    - On the New 7 Wonders WebSite, it is said there is 35 days left to vote.

    - On your post (linked in this one) of February 11, 2007, it is said the results “will be announced during the Official Declaration ceremony in Lisbon, Portugal on Saturday, July 7, 2007″.

How the result of the poll can be known before the end of it ? It is the result of an other survey?

I wondered that, too. The article links to the original poll site, and also says the results will be officially announced in Lisbon in July. Its the same poll, but I don’t understand the deadline.

I don’t think the empire state building should be on the list. The sears tower is more of an architectural achievement, IMO.

i think the whole list kinda sucks IMO. how about this for a wonder, where the hell is osama bin laden?

This is so fucking lame. These aren’t wonders. We know exactly how this “new” list of structures were made! What made the REAL ones wonders was the impossible notion that they were fabricated via means of technology we weren’t aware of previous civilizations having acquired.

Eiffel Tower it’s not that impressive any more. It should have been the Millau Viaduct in France.

man ther are much better options, I’m sorry but i like the ancient stuff, the great wall, Machu Pichu, easter island, these are are incredible, the empire state building? the statue of liberty, come on. Plus three of the seven are in the US lets get some diversity.

I agree, this whole poll is lame. They aren’t wonders.

This has got to be some gimmick to spur tourism or something.

    How stupid…
