Seventeen tons of silver and gold coins have been found in a shipwreck off the British coast. The cache could be worth up to half a billion dollars! Odyssey Marine Exploration Inc. made the find, but company spokemen will not give the exact location of the unidentified colonial-era ship. Link -via Simply Left Behind

There’s a typo. You need to change “it” to “it’s”.

Very awkward sentence -I think I’ll change the whole verb there. Thanks for the heads up!

The fact that this was found by the US and was so close to the UK makes me feel sick! Probably gonna be spent on weapons for more pointless wars and invasions.

Well Jimmy. Not likely since it was found by a private company and not the US state.

Oh Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy, why must you turn a completely innocuous news story into more liberal drivel? I guess your parents spared the rod….

*Slaps Jimmy around a bit with a large trout* This money is going directly into the coffers of the private investors of Odyssey Marine Exploration Inc. You have unwittingly gone off topic son.

Excellent find! This is every poor mans dream. Wish I was one of the investors.

This was reported on spanish news yesterday using the very same images, but they stated that the shipwreck was in the Bahia de Cadiz, southwest of Spain. There were some problems between Odissey and the Spanish Government because if the shipwreck is inside the spanish territorial waters it is forbidden to recover it, and Odissey wouldn’t disclose where they are working even to the spanish government.

I apologise for the above statment. I first heard about it on either BBC News or Sky News and all they said was that the US had found the loot and so did not read the blog here in full. :(
