This is one of the funniest cartoons I have ever seen and I’ve seen 100,000s of cartoons, as I am a big fan of the late PUNCH; THE NEW YORKER; PRIVATE EYE, and COMIC RELIEF, among a cast of thousands.
The anger and disgust of the losing boxer are captured perfectly. The superior boxer has found the perfect way to express disdain in an insulting manner. The futility of the coach’s advice is a perfect counterpoint to both.
This is the kind of cartoon other cartoonists envy.
