In my grandparents' old house, they had a light where the plate was a naked man and the actual switch rested between his legs. Turning that light on always made me feel dirty...

It's not like some exec in Minnesota approves every little gizmo sold for varied regional markets! Rather, there is undoubtedly a product development group in Japan or Red China that makes such decisions for products sold to the Oriental markets. Cultural norms are different everywhere; that's why such decisions are generally made a little closer to the market. When they aren't, there are always some occasional gaffs.

Did anybody happen to notice that the company that made those was 3M? Correct me if im wrong but 3M is an american company, and here in america people notice stiff like that. It dosent matter who you are, or what you believe in. How can a product like that make it on the shelves anywhere in the world? It dosent offend me, infact its pretty funny. Im sure all products are approved by the company executives, it blows my mind how that slipped by.
