Meal comparisons are always so bizarre to me. Johnny Cash did an excellent critique of this entire field and American eating habits.

Basically, all the junk food and fatty things we used to eat are leftover from our agrarian origins. You need to imbibe a lot of calories if you're working on a farm. So you eat fried fat with pig guts and fat.

Today? Not many people farm. Fifty years ago you spent your mornings picking crops, now you spend it behind a desk. So you don't need all those calories. So you eat less. The problem is that we were all raised with those old values about food and now must struggle to match our eating habits to our current lifestyles.

Eat less and exercise more.
