New Collaboration with Bathroom Readers Book.

Yay! We’re very happy to announce a new regular feature on Neatorama: articles from Uncle John’s Bathroom Reader books, thanks to the good people of Bathroom Readers’ Institute.

The Bathroom Readers got its start in 1987. The story goes like this:

Uncle John found himself stranded on the pot in the second worst way that you can be stranded on the pot—with nothing to read! He thought to himself: I have a book by my bed; I have a book on my coffee table; I even have books in my kitchen! How come there are no books especially made for the bathroom? And then a shaft of light appeared in Uncle John’s privy, and angelic voices began to sing! And lo, Uncle John proclaimeth’d: "There is a whole world of forgotten readers out there. We must all unite as one and make our voices be heard! ‘We read in the Bathroom and we’re proud!’"

Since 1988, BRI has published the longest-running and most popular series of its kind. With over 7 million books sold and 20,000 BRI members. It’s an honor for this blog to feature the Bathroom Reader.

So, as they often say at BRI: "Go with the flow" and visit their website and "Throne Room," which has a large selection of sample articles.

I love those books. I have about 10 of them, and usually buy them to read on long trips.

Ha-ha - being from England, I mis-understood the heading at frist. Over here, a bathroom is just that - a room with a bath in it. Books would get a bit soggy in there.

These are my favorite bathroom reads. I have a bunch of the books, not 10 like Jeff, but still enough to keep me busy in the loo.

I've got a bunch of these. The only problem is that I always seem to go through them in a week or less...
