We Are Happy To Serve You Mug.

For those who don’t know, the graphics on the mug are featured on deli coffee cups all over New York City, it’s as New York as the footlong and knish combo at Madison Square Garden. The maker of the mug version really thought this one out, replicating the shape and approximate size of the original. The best part of the cup is the thickness and matte finish… ahh, it feels great in your hand. The finishing detail is that they’ve included a raised strip, replicating the area where the paper is glued together (never realized how functional for grip this is). Everyone loves this thing.

As seen on Turntable Lab.

I need one of these. Also nice would be a coffee mug modeled after those with a random hand of poker, no?

I actually bought this for a friend a few years ago. Its great. Incidently on Talk Show with Spike Feresen, a show on Fox on Saturday nights, he uses these cups for himself and guests while he interviews them istead of the standard mug with the name of the show on it.

Close parodies (or variants?) of the "We are happy to Serve You" logos are featured prominently in Laurie Anderson's public service announcements.

    Here are a couple:
    Women and Money
    "I Hate Television"

oh it's ceramic! hahaha. I thought it was a paper cup in a gift box too. I was gonna say that it seemed like a pointless exercise. But ceramic? Good for the environment! reusable non paper cup.

Remo's General Store (an awesome online store) has had this design on a t-shirt, as a cute "beggar's purse" as well as a ceramic mug (without handle) for years. Well worth checking out here, here and here.
