Deep Fryer and Aquarium Combo!

This deep fryer doubles as a live goldfish tank. Since oil and water don't mix, the hot oil stays on top and bits of food that fall down get eaten by the fishies!

:blinks: I'm not sure I understand the concept. Sure, the oil would may stay on top-- but that seems neither healthy to the fish, nor practical in the least. How does it prevent heat transfer, is my real question.

another idea that is pointless...why would someone want that...ok so the fish are eating stuff that is killing us too...wow great idea. bring on the fat.

Very interesting, but I agree with Myra what is the point? To Buzz I disagree it certainly would be possible to prevent the water from boiling by simply using a greater volume of water and of course a large volume of oil only heated near the surface. Of course if I had a fryer/goldfish tank combo it would probably have a peltier element in it just to be safe.
