p>Boing Boing has a cool rundown of homeowner holdouts – people who refuse to sell their houses to new development. This one to the left is the house at the end of the Glacir Park Internation Airport in Kalispell, Montana:

There is a high barbwire security fence that runs along the highway, then cuts in and around the house, then back out along the highway. It’s great.
