Which size butter does it fit, East coast or West coast — or is there one for each size?

my dad already invented this like 25 years ago. and if you did your research you would see that kitchen art has a prototype. they purchased the idea like 18 years ago. isn’t this copyright infringement?

Brittany, I think that there’s a kind of statute of limitations on this kind of thing, and since your dad obviously failed to launch his version, you may not be the butter slicing heiress you want to be.

if you use a knife, you are at risk of getting crumbs on the butter, duh

My friend invented the Butter Mill, from whence this seems to be derived (note diplomatic phrasing.) He does have a patent and sells his invention at maxspace.com. Pats of butter are nice, but who wouldn’t prefer a 10 foot ribbon? The butter is also spreadable when it comes out…seems the pats woud have to be hard enough to cut…not so spreadable. Also, the Butter Mill (I voted for the name The Buttery during development, myself, btw) has interchangeable plates, which switch you from ribbon to star to strings to logs of butter. Also available in clear plastic and stainless (like I personally use.) Never had so much fun with butter!!!
